New Site Live For Meurice Garment Care

I’m thrilled to announce the launch of one of my favorite projects in 2012 – an all-new web site for Meurice Garment Care. It’s the result of months of work, and is built on key insights from traffic on the previous Meurice site as well as feedback from mangment, staff, and of course, customers.

Design and illustration on the new site are the work of the imaginative and talented Jen Roos, of 8pointstudio. The incredible collection of custom icons and illustrations were her vision. They give the Meurice brand far more personality than the previous site’s stock photography. Coding and functionality fell on Anthony Arias – also known as the Kid Genius. He assembled a lightweight and flexible backend in Vae that allows the site render quickly, accomodate my search-visibility requests, and to be easily maintained in the future.

The goal of the new site was to funnel local customers into taking steps to contact Meurice, and features prominent calls-to-action for the Get In Touch and Schedule A Pickup pages. Pages for specialty cleaning – such as wedding gowns – contain contact forms baked into the page to reduce friction in the contact process. One of my favorite features is a ZIP code checker at the base of service pages to show visitors if they’re within the Meurice delivery zone.

Over the 20-month lifespan of the previous garmentcare.com, new clients refereed from web channels increased 230 percent. I can’t wait to see the results of the new site over the coming months. I’m confident Meurice will be well served by this site and it’s visitor profile for years to come.
